I Can’t

With the seeming regularity of the rising and setting of the sun, another Black person has lost their life at the hands of those who have sworn to serve and protect. You can almost set your watch by these tragic events, yet their regularity does nothing to slow the momentum of their occurrence. To further compound these injustices, the trite narrative surrounding these events begin to play out immediately as if they are agenda items in a demented town hall meeting.
